Secrets of my address book by Mike Stock

Manley's Restaurant, Storrington, West Sussex. Tel: 01903 742331. This has to be my favourite restaurant. The menu has a wide selection of European food and the wine list is excellent.

Woolworth's, High Street, Sidcup, Kent. Tel: 0181 300 1681. I always take my children here to buy their weekly records. The thing I like about good old Woolies is that they do not look down their nose at you when you buy pop music. Let's face it, that's what the charts are all about, regardless of how the music press want to describe the latest craze.

The Four Seasons Hotel, Park Lane, London. Tel: 0171 499 0888. I used to play gigs in the ballroom with my band Mirage long before I had my first hit. Now, as a treat to myself, I book into this wonderful hotel where no two rooms look the same.

The Queen's Head Hotel, Rye Road, Hawkhurst, Kent. Tel: 01580 753577: A 15th Century haven complete with local ghost, roaring log fires, traditional English fare ... and custard to die for!

The Tate Gallery, Millbank, London, SW1. Tel: 0171 887 8000. I sometimes wander around in this temple of delight, which has the works of Turner on display, and lose myself from all the stresses of working in the studio.
