The Sunday Times looks at the new TV commercial for Bananarama
- featuring a host of politicians
The commercial, for Bananarama's Greatest Hits Album, was devised by
one-year old ad agency Leagas Shafron Davis - its first TV work.
Among the list of politicians it features are Cyril Smith, Merlyn Rees and
Ron Brown. Ron Leagas, founder of the agency, opted to use politicians
because many were available at the same time and, also, their fees were
considerably lower than those demanded by commercial actors.
