Big Brekkie Denise gets her big break with bond

by Ian Hyland

THE name's Van Outen; Denise Van Outen.

Or it will be after the soon-to-depart Big Breakfast presenter accepts the part of Mission Controller in the new James Bond movie, The World Is Not Enough.

My spies down at Pinewood studios tell me how bosses were so impressed with the 23-year-old blonde beauty after a meeting this week that they offered her the role of M's assistant almost immediately.

And industry experts reckon it's a job Denise would be foolish to turn down if she wants to make it big in the movies following her decision to quit the Channel 4 breakfast show later this month.

"This could seal Denise's entry into the big league,"'one tells me.

"Just working alongside people like Judi Dench and Pierce Brosnan would give her the kind of experience and street cred money can't buy," the insider added.'Former nightclub dancer Denise has had no shortage of offers since ditching her early-morning spot.

ITV and BBC both want her for a big-budget drama series and she's currently filming her first feature film, Tube Tales.

She also stands a good chance of being in the Christmas top of the pop charts with her Johnny Vaughan duet for Children In Need and the diary can now reveal that her musical ambitions don't end there.

She's lined up to sing backing vocals on old pal Martine McCutcheon's debut album and she's secretly recorded an old Kylie Minogue hit, I Like It Like That, under the name Morning Glory.

All this from the girl who said she planned to take it easy when she left The Big Breakfast.

I'd forget those lie-ins if I were you Denise ...
