TINA COUSINS
TINA COUSINS is Barbarella. The 60s sex siren is being brought back to
our screens by the 24 year old, drop dead gorgeous diva, for the release
of 'ANGEL' scheduled for Monday, August 25, on Eastern Bloc Records.
The video 'ANGEL' sees TINA flying through the air in the arms of her
very own angel - the result - a stunningly visual three minutes which
owes not a little to the cult movie Barbarella and state-of-the-art
computer animation used by video directors at Slave Studios, where
software and techniques similar to those used in major feature films
such as 'Toy Story' and 'Independence Day' were put into action.
TINA COUSINS is already a favourite with club-goers up and down the
country, where even the hard hearted have been won over by the live
local performances of "ANGEL". And TINA fever is spreading fast due to
video plays on The Box and appearances on roadshows.
A recent interview and performance at KISS FM in Leeds led to a request
for TINA to step in the co-present the major breakfast show on the
station for two weeks, when the regular presenter takes a holiday.
'ANGEL' is a ultra cool dance track, it's currently at No.3 in the Dance
Chart and is heading for the top of the mainstream chart.
Watch out for TINA COUSINS 'ANGEL' scheduled for release on Eastern Bloc
Records on Monday 25 August on CD, Cassette and 12".

Eastern Bloc is a label on a roll. Every record they put out has
entered the national charts.
24 year old Tina Cousins is the jewel in their crown. Before signing to
the label, Tina already had a successful career in her own right. She
worked as a hairdresser, stylist and model and had appeared in a Rolling
Stones video. Mind you, not everything had gone to plan. She submitted
a Vox tape to Eastern Bloc Studios and had immediately been called to do
a demo. A stunning version of Donna Summers' "State Of Independence"
was the result and Tina's details were filed under "Stunning/Get This
Girl A Song Now!" and then were promptly lost ...
Thankfully, that wasn't the end of it. A band from Tina's home town
subsequently turned up to work at the studio and provided the missing
info. A much relieved secretary made the all-important call and the
devastating debut "Killin' Time" was the result. That one made Top 20
Club Charts, got regular plays off Pete Tong and generally got Tina's
train out of the station. Her dynamic live performances further boosted
her ratings.
On "Angel" we already have killer remixes from Mount Rushmore and Tall
Paul as well as in-house specials from Fishheadz, Work In Progress and
Science Friction. Cool Cuts and Buzz Charts are in place and Tina's
live gigs already include Gay Pride, a clutch of radio shows and TV
interviews ("Killin' Time" has already racked up over 700 requests on
the box) and she is also scheduled to sley the crowds at the cream of
the Country's top clubs including Haven, Hippodrome, Paradise Factory
and The Majestyk. If all that isn't enough, then the video for "Angel"
is set to grace the airwaves shortly. And if you're a Sci-Fi buff then
the idea of Tina as the 90s answer to Barberella should set your digital
ticker in whirlwind mode. TINA COUSINS MADE IN HEAVEN!
